The wandering icon exhibition Face to Face has, since 2007, been displayed at several places in Sweden, amongst them in the Cathedrals of Uppsala, Lund, Skara and Linköping (Follow the link below: “Ikoner i Skara domkyrka” and see how the icons were presented here).
On October 1 2009 it was opened at Anafora Retreat Farm, an international ecumenical and spiritual centre in Coptic management, located in the Egyptian desert, ca 70 km north of Cairo. Here it was exhibited until the January 24 2010. From February 1 until April 31 this year it was displayed in Jerusalem, Swedish Christian Study Centre, Old Town, Near Jaffa Gate.
2007 Lars Gerdmar published the book Ansikte mot ansikte – Om de heliga ikonerna (Face to Face – On the holy icons). The book is planned to be internationally published but we are still looking for the right Publisher.

As an information to the new visitors of The Icon Gallery Imago Nova the following two articles are published.
2001 the altar piece Majestas Domini, 204 x 340 cm, painted by Lars Gerdmar was inaugurated in St. Thomas Aquinas church in Lund, Sweden. The central motif depict The enthroned Christ in heaven, flanked by the Mother of God and St. John the Baptist. The four icons depicted on the wings are: The Annunciation, The Baptism of Christ, The Transfiguration and Christ at the lake of Tiberias. You find these icons in the gallery.
2002 Lars Gerdmar got a commission from the Swedish Catholic and Lutheran Churches to paint Saint Briget – Compatrona Europae – receiving heavenly revelations. The icon was delivered to the Pope John Paul II the 5th October 2002 before the Briget Jubilee of the Catholic bishop Anders Arborelius, Stockholm and the Lutheran bishop Martin Lind, Linköping during a solemn service in the Saint Peter’s Church in Rome. Amongst the guests special invited were also to be seen the Swedish Crown Princess Viktoria. A copy of this icon is published in the gallery.
